We heard your feedback on activity logging, and have made some changes to improve your experience. To improve accuracy of calories burned and Active Minutes, you can now record your effort level when editing or logging an activity.

To ensure you always get credit for your efforts, our logging feature allows you to easily add or edit activities. For certain exercises, such as Crossfit or weightlifting, it may be difficult for the heart rate sensor to auto-detect Active Minutes. Just log it, and we’ll translate your logged activities into active minutes and calories burned. You’ll also see step and heart rate data for the time period you logged.

To log an activity:

  1. Tap the plus button on your home screen.
  2. Select your activity, start time, duration, and intensity.
  3. Hit “Save” – and you’re done!
