What you will bring

As a core part of the firmware team, you will be involved in designing, debugging, and testing core firmware functionality, and be a part of designing firmware infrastructure. This position also requires cross-disciplinary experience to support other teams such as Electrical Engineers, Data Science, iOS developers, and User Experience Designers. Experience utilizing microcontroller peripherals with bus connected components such as non-volatile memories and sensors is a must. It is also expected that candidates are able to write efficient, low-power firmware, to maximize battery life in our ultra low-power products. Experience with version control and bug tracking is desired. Knowledge of unit testing and system regression testing methodology for embedded systems will also be beneficial.

Where you have been

  • 5 years minimum firmware engineering experience
  • Fluent in C/C++
  • Experience in typical Microcontroller Interfaces and Peripherals in an ultra-low-power (ULP) systems: Timers, Interrupts, UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO, PWM, etc.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and debug own software, and meet delivery dates
  • Experience in resource constrained microcontroller designs using ARM Cortex-M0/M4/AVR/PIC is required
  • Experience with Bluetooth Low-Energy, ZigBee, or ANT+
  • Experience in sensor control, and datasets: motions sensors, temperature sensors, etc.
  • Knowledge of assembly
  • Scripting languages such as Python
  • Experience in DSP coding and fixed-point mathematics
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
